The Grand - Installation
Client: Hotel The Grand, commissioned by Verwiel
Concept, art-direction and audiovisual artwork as part of a multimedia installation at five star hotel The Grand, Amsterdam. In cooperation with Daan Verwiel, Celia Rosa, Wiebe Boonstra and Sietze Kalkwijk.
IF THE WALLS OF THE GRAND COULD SPEAK...
The restaurant of The Grand is undergoing a complete renovation. Therefore The Grand offers the unique opportunity of dining in the historical Council Room. A contemporary multimedia-installation has been added to this venue. Under an oversized table you will find a champagne bar with screens that make you part of the building's past, present and future. A glimpse of more than six centuries of history of it's building, captured in image, sound and text.
'Tijdelijk Tafelen in de Raadzaal' has officially been opened by former Mayor Ed van Thijn
