Tommy Hilfiger uses various TH monograms, as an icon and as patterns, used on clothing and items such as bags, purses, sunglasses, etcetera. As part of a selected team of freelance creatives I was asked to develop new designs and patterns for the TG monogram to give direction for new collections.
The first phase was revaluation all currently used monogram designs and researching monograms and patterns in general. After that creating numerous sketches, directions, designs, patterns. The second phase consisted off in depth research & further development of the mutually chosen directions. The final stage: Tommy Hilfiger implementing our findings in the new collections.
Quite an ambitious project and a great creative challenge as we could research the wide spectrum of possibilities within the limitations of the use of the initials TH.There's so much you can do with just two letters as a starting point.
